Conversation series is a series of artistic encounters where I individually meet with various artists, philosophers, and cultivators to practice, experiment, and exchange thoughts on the major societal challenges we are facing.

By engaging with practicioners from various fields, I aim to deepen and envision different sustainable futures. Each encounter becomes an exploration of method and a deep dive into practices, which also results in a public presentation in the form of discussions, work in progress performances, or workshops.

Conversation through authentic movement

As one part in Conversations series I investigated how Authentic movement as a repetitive process. I undertook repeated sessions of Authentic movement during three days and reflected through authentic writing and drawing, which was displayed in the space. It became a way to practice an authentic and intimate practice in a public space, where the observer becomes my witness, and the room I am in influences what arises.

Authentic movement is a practice that awakens the awareness of the mover in relation to an inner or outer witness. I find it similar to meditation where we move from the unconscious which then rise to the surface. I have been practicing authentic movement in other artistic processes and as a daily practice for some years now and find it a powerful practice in order to deepen once ways of seeing things, as well as the decisions one takes.

As other somatic practices it is a statement and an activist action to listen inwards and stay with what is present of the now. I find this highly relevant in order to build new futures and open ones mind to something unfamiliar and hopefully more sustainable.
