DUALISTIC ECHOES

Dualistic Echoes originates from the investigation of phobia with its cause and consequences, inspired by stories of performer Sarah Armstrong. The installation grew in context as Sarah’s phobia had a dualistic resonance in her past. Rats was the metaphor of strength and power, that later became a creature of fear and disgust. Dualism within symbolic meanings and personal experience takes this installation to political and social issues, which are highly relevant in today’s society.
